Questa è grande musica suonata col cuore.

@rlholo In fact, Django did some fairly early what I would call bop. He did some recordings with electric guitar where he was pushing the envelope a bit. This was right before he died.

ja, great video tanx! these should never become lost...:-)

Grapelli is so young here!

C'était de famille évidemment, Joseph aussi pouvait être au solo!
Géniaaal ce documentaire, ils sont tellement rares merci pour ce précieux partage!

Wow I had no idea Joseph had such fluency on the guitar, I can't believe he only plays for one measly chorus here! BS!!
-
This is so sad.... Django's stare is no approving of this feeble attempt

"One more, Steph, One more..."
;-)
I'm glad he lived a full life - both for him and for the music world. I would love to have heard what Django would have done in the Bop & straight ahead ages. People peg him to this narrow time period, but he never stood still musically. I hear some of these young guys from France mixing in Bop & straight ahead & even funk - and I think - yeah he'd really like what they're doing. If he were alive he'd buy all those guys a beer and give them a big smile.
