A while back a friend and I ended up hunting in the middle of a caribou migration in Alaska's arctic. For three days we had caribou stepping between, around, and over us while we filmed some fantastic footage. Enjoy this wonderful spectacle of the last great migration on the North American continent. Thanks for the kind words, everyone. We were just fortunate to find the animals in this location; it was not planned this way at all. Just one of those rare and precious incidents we all hope for one day. We were in the right place at the right time. It is also a great memory for me because I had a very good friend with me to share the experience. We've drifted apart but he was my hunting partner in those days. Great memories...

A friend and I went a location in Alaska north of the Arctic Circle to film some rafts on the river, but when we arrived the river was running slush, making rafting impossible. But when we arrived we realized that we were dropped off in the midst of thousands of migrating caribou. So we filmed them instead. We had an early winter that year, with ice in the river by mid-September. It was an incredible experience!
