They are regarded to be collector items. But both are wonderful when moving. Especially the 4x4x4 is super rare and uses a very different mechanism from all other 4x4x4 cubes. There is a new production in 2008, but they different in weight and internals.

  • what's up with your color scheme?

  • I have nothing to do with the color scheme. Those cubes were made by Meffert, and are originals (not the new ones). ;-)

  • @kastellorizo isn't it the chinese color scheme? :) like nakajima's one

  • @littlefrank90 I had answered this question already. It is original (i.e. it is VERY old)

  • i thought it is also the one use to sell in mefferts now?? i use to search it on ebay but no suggestions appeared =(

  • that is a strange color scheme

  • they look real smooth they must not get jamed much

  • 4x4 you create 2x2 centers, and repair the edges, and solve as 3x3. A 5x5, you creat 3x3 centers, which takes longer, and you have to edge reair 2 times.. I think. Then solve it as a 3x3. And sometimes parity happens.. So 5x5 takes longer.
