  • so, i'm guessing that this product is not for plaster pool cracks due to stress on the pool? is there anything i can do myself for these, or are staples the only way to go? i've already tried the epoxy mix.

  • You are correct in the fact that this product will not work for stopping stress cracks. That would be a fairly complicated repair, and I would suggest having a local pool guy in your area take a look at it for you. If there is continued stressing on your pool, that will first have to be solved before you get to the cosmetic point, where you could use this product. Thanks for watching ! Dan

  • I don't really have big holes, but the pool decking is chipping and peeling in spots, and on the edges around the pool, but not the actual concrete. Would I use this same product?

  • well......you can get concrete patch from home depot and do your patching, then color match the paint like i did in this vid and it will most likely solve your issues. the good thing about the ez patch is that it will work underwater as well. i am not a corporate a schill for ez patch, but if you google their site, i think they have a new product for what you need. check them out. thanks for watching ;o) Dan

  • Respond to this video... some ignorant that worked for me turned mini hole cracks where the water was leaking into wide cracks large cracks.. it is leaking more water now what do you suggest? use hydraulic cement? or will EZ patch help? I know fast set patch material is for underwater, but will that work if water is leaking?

  • Hard to exactly say without seeing it in person, but, i would say this....You can use hydraulic cement, and EZ Patch now has a new product that can be used underwater as well. You can go to their EZ Patch web site to look at that. But, if these cracks are being caused by some sort of stress on your pool shell, you kind of have to deal with that, because cracks normally do not enlarge like you say, unless there is stress on the pool. I would have a local pool take a look at it first. Dan

  • This is just one segment from our How To Drain, Clean, Acid Wash And Paint A Pool. See our poolandspamoose channel for the rest of the videos. In those other videos, you can see how bad the pool was when we started, as it had not been painted for a long time. The homeowner wanted the pool blue, so that's why we painted it. Thanks for watching ! Dan

  • Yes, we are told that EZ Patch now offers Fast Set Patch material for underwater repairs. Thanks for watching. Dan

  • In the video you say you will be painting the pool the next day. Why would you paint a pool that's already finished in plaster?
