http://www.dslrfilmnoob.com/ Sorry for the delay in video production over the last week or so. I've been in a motel for two and half weeks off and on. In fact this video is shot in two different motel rooms, facial hair changes from shot to shot.

Any how after covering the flat picture styles last week a number of you asked for a guide on how to install a flat picture style on to your canon DSLR. First find the disk that's included with your camera, and install the EOS utility software included on the disk. Once you've done that just download the picture style you like.

You can find links to all of the picture styles here: http://www.dslrfilmnoob.com/2011/04/30/film-look-technicolor-cinestyle-v-s-ma...

Then copy the steps included in this video to install the flat picture style on your camera.

Equipment used in this video:
Canon 7d
Canon 35mm f1.4
Zoom h4n

  • can I use it on my Canon 60D?

Will this slow down my camera (in any way?)

  • @MrLukasDiSparrow You shouldn't have any problems using it on your 60D and it wont slow down your camera.

  • Dude u look depressed man... miss the high energy tutorials im used to.

  • @marcusaeden Just got home, will to live is growing stronger. Happiness will soon follow. To many days on the road sucks the life out of me.

  • there a few extra things that i missed when i did this, make sure that the camera isn't set on film mode, otherwise you can't click register user defined style, and after installation, go into the camera settings and make sure that the user def style has the custom one set, i had to change it from standard to my style that i use, hope these steps help anyone :)

  • @xWhiteoutProductions Good point.

  • Do you know instal picture style in video mode..?

  • @BrokenTubeFilms for the greyed out thing, I had the same problem. I set the wheel dingus to TV and it works!

  • I need to install the technicolor profile on my T2i for movie shooting. I follow all the right steps and then come to the part where I have to click "Open file" to choose the profile I downloaded from Technicolor. The open button is greyed out when the camera is on movie mode, but that's the mode I need the profile for...what is wrong here? Can someone help?

  • @nickcanon im having the same problem!

  • it does not show the marvels icon on my desk top when i try, but its their as i zipped file, what do i do?

  • I am confused. It installs it for when I am in the still picture mode, but not the video mode.

  • I'm losing my mind trying to figure out how to get this installed on my T3i. I go to register user define style and the browse icon is greyed out! How do I get the cinestyle picture style on my camera if that icon isn't working. I am not in video mode or anything. I called Canon, they couldn't figure it out, I called Technicolor, and that was a mess trying to even get ahold of anyone. Any ideas?

  • @joshybumboshy no problem :)

  • @xWhiteoutProductions thanks man your comment is very important for canon 60d users!!
