Nick: Miley? Is that really you, or am I dreaming?
Miley: *tears start to fall*
Nick: *goes over to her and tries to comfort her* Don't cry, Mi.
Miley: *gets out of Nick's grasp and sits on his bed and in a quiet voice speaks* You weren't supposed to find out.
Nick: Find out about what?
Miley: *looks up at him* Everything.
Nick: Miles, I don't understand.
Miley: I came back to say goodbye to Demi. I have to go now. *goes to Demi and gives her a hug, and whispers in her ear: I'll come back tomorrow night for the cash. I love you Dems.*
Nick: Miley, wait. I still don't understand. Why are you leaving?
Miley: *stops for a minute and continues leaving*
Nick: *runs up to her and grabs her arm* Miley!!! *shakes her* Why are you doing this?! Don't you love me?!
Miley: *In a calm voice* Nick, let go of me.
Nick: NO!! Not until you tell me why you're leaving!!
Miley: You really wanna know?
Nick: *nods*
Miley: Because I hate the thought of hurting you! I hate the thought of you mourning over me! I hate the thought of you crying by my side while I'm slowly passing away! I hate the thought of you never getting over me! *Her tears come down like a never ending stream* I hate the thought of losing you....
Nick: *Every word that comes out of Miley's mouth is piercing his heart* Miley, I love you. I would do anything for you.
Miley: *puts her hand on Nick's cheek and cradles it* I know you would, Nicky. But I just can't let you endure all that pain. That would be selfish of me.
Nick: *Just the feeling of her hand on his cheek, comforts him in a million ways* Mi, you're being selfish by walking away. You can't just leave your old life. You're hurting so many people by doing this. Your mom, dad, sisters, brothers, friends, me. Don't you understand? We would rather see you die in front of us if it meant we could be with you for the rest of your life.
Miley: I never thought of it that way...
Nick: Can you promise me that you'll never leave me ever again?
Miley:....
