Thats awesome that it has twin pipes. Sounds wicked. How many tx's do you have? I have 2 71 tx 295's. I'm restoring 1 and the other to ride.

I have a '71 440 Racer, (TXR?) and I was wondering if there is a website put together for restoring these sleds? The sled was my grandfathers and is in decent condition. The belly pan could use some straightening and the hood has been fiberglassed multiple time over the clutches from belts, but not bad really. I would love to be able to restore it. throttle block is cracked in half, is there anyway to find a nos item? Thanks

The 72's had hydraulic brakes. The 70-71 had the band brake. I put the 72 on there because it is a lot more dependable.
