Upaluppa (http://www.youtube.com/user/upaluppa ) continues to show more unused stuff on the SMA4 rom. This time, we can see "Flutter" from Yoshi's Island. This was a rare enemy that looked like a butterfly form of Wiggler from SMW. Like their SMW counterparts, they give an angry reaction when they're stomped. These things only appeared at the end of w4-1 in Yoshi's Island. In the GBA remake, SMA3, these also appeared at the start of w6-Secret, a level that was added.

Please support Upa and Kiiro Bomber ( http://www.youtube.com/user/KiiroBomber ) in their efforts to make a SMA4 editor! Check out the official topic for downloads and the latest progress...

  • Hey copyRIGHThunter!

Are you sure, that the butterfly like enemies are called "Flutters"?

I'm just asking, because I couldn't find any proof of their real name anywhere on the net.

That's, why I've named them "Winged Wigglers". They actually seem to be based on Wigglers...

  • @upaluppa I can't post a link, but Google "Mario Wiki" and "Flutter" It should be the 1st result. I believe it is a name that didn't take full hold until the enemy was featured in the Mario Party series. MarioWiki has a bunch of other enemies' names that I was unsure of, like Zeus Guy, and Baron von Zeppelin.

  • But the name makes logical sense.

    Wiggler.

    Flutter.

    See it now?

  • I have subscribed to all 3 of you just to watch how you're wonderfully doing. :D

  • @masterpondoffly

I know that the butterfly enemy is officially known as Flutter.

I just named my level Winged Wigglers because that's pretty much what these enemies are and because I didn't know the official name back then...

But I never knew that there is another enemy which is indeed called Winged Wiggler.

In which game does in appear in?

  • @copyRIGHThunter Where did you get your your rom every one i try doesnt have any music.....

  • I wonder if the Green Parabeetles and Golden Cheep Cheeps are still on this version, since they were still in the Mario All-Stars version

  • sparkling wigglers?

  • It's fitting that the ending music is the music. It's soothing and fitting for butterflies. Similar to Flutters.

  • 1:37 What do you call a Kaizo trap if it can never kill you?

  • not flying wigglers...

    they're flutters

  • If it makes you happy... ^_^

Let's just forget about that silly naming problem, ok?

  • Enemy names are srs business. O_o

  • Maybe you're right, but it doesn't matter that much anyways, does it? ;)
