Hey machead, I have downloaded the firmware (about 7 times from different websites... *sigh*) and when i try to downgrade my iPhone firmware from 2.2.1 to 2.2... i cant. I know that you need to hold option and then press restore, but there is nothing selectable in the folder. Help?

Its because you can't access DFU mode I talk about that i my jailbreak iPhone 2.2 video.

I know this is stupid, but how would I do that without using the pwnage tool? If u hav a vid, will u plz put the link?

You have to put your iPhone in DFU mode by holding both buttons in iTunes until it leaves iTunes and then just hold the home button. iTunes should find an iPod in recovery mode then hold the option key and click restore, a window should pop up letting you pick the firmware.

alright i downloaded the firmware but when i try to select it in the pwnage tool, it wont let me. it shows up as a folder
