As a charitable action, one of the biggest and most monumental way one can donate to the Red Cross is by giving blood.

A couple years back, a friend of mine, who shall remain nameless for this video (seeing as how I didn't ask her permission to talk about her on the Internet) got very sick and needed many, many pints of blood for her treatment. When she started getting better, I told her that I would spend the next few years trying to match the 22 pints of blood her two week treatment ended up using.

I'm currently at 13 with no sign of stopping.

So please, if you're able to, give blood. Save a life.

it's a little late, but I'd like to let you know that your friend's story was what convinced me to start giving blood, which I am going to continue to do at least once a year because I'm type +A, which I am told is the most common, and is always needed. even though I am terrified of needles, and it's really uncomfortable because of my retarded, bent vanes, I figure the people I'm doing it for are far more uncomfortable for much longer then then 20 min it takes for me to give blood.
