The New iPhone OS 3.0 - MMS

This is part of Apple's keynote on March 17, 2009 regarding the release of the new iPhone operating system: iPhone OS 3.0. This is only one of many new features to come to the iPhone in the summer of 2009.

I am sooo happy to find out that finally we will be able to send media such as audio clips and photos via sms or email. In addition individual sms messages can be deleted or forwarded. Another big addition which is not shown in this video is the adaptation of the LANDSCAPE mode for SMS and EMAIL!! This is sure to make every single iPhone user much happier.

question i have the 3G

and my brothe rhas the older 1

i got the MMS today on my iphone ( i had to do an update)

but my brohter nothing

any ideas if this update its only for like #G and 3GS maybe??

Your brother didn't have to do an update because MMS is not designed to work with the first iPhone. I don't know why. According to Apple, it's too slow or something. So yeah, it's only for 3G(S).

this is nice of apple to finally get this update to us, 2 years later. I really dont think its fair that I had to pay around 600 dollars for my 1st gen, and its capable of such little, compared to the new ones which cost 199. grrr
