The gist: On December 4th 2011, StarTrek fans Terrance Huff and Jon Seaton are stopped illegally after a StarTrek Exhibition for suspected drug transportation in Collinsville, Illinois. Award winning filmmaker Terrance Huff does a breakdown of an illegal traffic stop and subsequent search involving a K9 Officer who has a questionable past. The dog search begins 9:50 and is followed by evidentiary video.

EXACT thing happened to me headed west on I-80. I've been engaged in litigation for nearly 3 yrs, STILL ongoing. You're dashboard video is nearly VERBATIM what happened to me, right down to the car model. Only difference between us seems to be the road/Interstate travelled within the State of Illinois. This proves in my mind irrevocable PROFILING leading to unproven probable cause and illegal search and seizure. Would be very interested in comparing notes, shoot me an email if interested.

I have had a very similar experience. They just recently stopped me for following too close to a semi. Which I was not doing. Then illegally detained me and had a k9 search my car. It did not alert by sitting. It was pulled back by the leash of the handler and its two front feet went off the ground. It didn't seem interested in my car even after the officers locked it in there. It was a brand new car and they caused several thousands of dollars of damage. I too was an out of state license plate.

1> reichert got terrance out of the car (tho on interstate i would decline for safety purposes unless specifically ordered.)

2> reichert has a dog on hand, so he doesn't have to wait for one. he doesn't need permission to do a walkaround as part of a routine stop, as he so blatantly flaunted on camera for us...

this event ran like reichert figured it would from square one, notice he doesn't shift gears as he makes stuff up on the spot. he has planned (or practiced) this song and dance...

the quickest way to stop this abuse of authority is to file a claim with the DEPARTMENT OF RISK MANAGEMENT. The Claim Form will be given to you after a short explanation of why you think you need it. If the problem is with State police you'll need to contact The Department of Risk management for that state. City Police - City offices. Sherriff - County offices. Fill out the claim form within 1 year of incident or final disposition. A valid claim is settled via. cash settlement.
