  • Peace building and conflict resolution in the Philippines should be based on distributing land to 20 million landless peasants to solve the grinding poverty that fuels the violence. Also, a fair trade policy should reward the poor with better commodity prices, end prevalent maternal and child nutrition and end gender inequality.
