Learning Ukulele WK 6 Lemon Heads Outdoor Type

I got my first musical instrument on the 17th of April. A fine inexpensive Ukulele! This is my narcissistic progress report. It's coming together - tunes are genuinely discernible and after only 6 weeks - thats a damned good reason for anyone to take up the Ukulele.

I can't do any clever stuff or get clean chords out of B's E's or anything requiring 4 fingers - but now think that at least it will be possible in the not too distant future

So a request of you viewers (no, I don't want your requests yet!). Your suggestions please on easy classic numbers to learn with the big 5 chords ( yep I can try Em too) with which to entertain friends, family and stray dogs, would be appreciated. I promise that no blame be apportioned to you for the subsequent murder of fine music as we know it.

I've tried my best not to crucify the Lemon Heads 'Outdoor Type' but failed miserably. But hey what the hell - I'm having fun! Facial contortions are scary though - starting to look like my father.

You're good!! I can't even think of singing right now. But I'm loving it. Now matter how newbish I am. Awesome! :)

@AllThatKazz - Kazz You are going to be shocked at how easy it is to learn ....just take lots of small steps ....a little every day ...and do it for your self and for fun.

I hadn't played an instrument till April either. My advice, go for it!. Learn the basic chords, learn songs that you like and it'll be easier than you imagine

have you tried messing around with strums that use just the thumb....like the 'bum diddy' or 'boom chicka' sounding strums....if you type in "lewdite" into youtube....he's got lots of vids and a few tutorials on some cool simple strums that work well for 'sensitive' stuff
