This was the perfect time to do a little flight at dusk. The conditions were perfect with the wind being calm. There are 2 big trees near my home here & it is very easy to get too close. I later hit one of them but only damaged the 2 top blades. I have crashed quite a few times with this heli & so far have only partially cracked the top of the fuselage (repaired with clear tape), broke the top part of the original inner shaft (replaced with Xtreme inner shaft), slightly bent the fly bar (just bent it back), & broke a small piece off of the tail. Surprisingly, other than replacing broken blades, the rest can really take a beating. Now, luckily, it usually falls on the tall grass in the field & nothing usually happens. I just installed the Esky CNC swash plate. I am still waiting on my 3D Pro blades from China. I plan on installing navigation lights. I found a cool place online called Tiny Bright Lites http://flightlights.net/index.html
So far, I am loving this helicopter because it is so easy to control & there are tons of parts for it.

  • @tawaterconnect Hello...Don't know if you've seen the vid of my Hunter but if I recall, it's way easier to work on than this E500 model. The canopy removes easily. I installed the Xtreme inner shaft, swash plate, blades, & installed extended servo arms. No..the blades are incredibly easy to remove. No..the old shaft can be reused after removing it. If the Hunter is your 1st heli but you may want to upgrade to either the E500 or Big Lama afterwards. It can actually take more wind.

  • Looks like you got good separation between your upper and lower blades with the 15mm shaft extension. I received a 12mm extension in the mail today for an Esky Hunter I haven't received yet. Planning to do the upgrade immediately before I fly it. Were the blades difficult to remove and replace? Was the old shaft destroyed when you removed it? I was hoping to keep it as a spare.
