  • i'd like to know what Dr. Kammer specifically prescribes for pain post-op?

  • @EvanQuinn07 something mild like vicodin. Pain isn't often much of a problem.

  • We were told that we should wait till the age of 19 for males before placing implants how has the patient been doing?

  • @nsx11 patient in the video doing fine and it has been over 4 years!

  • I am 17 years old and I recently pulled my 4 first bicuspids for braces but I regret my decision as I want a full toothed smile. Can you replace bicuspids with mini-implants? How much would 4 bicuspids cost? Thanks!

  • Mini implants with crowns may run 2500- 3000 for each. So multiply that by four. Yes you may be able to have your teeth replaced this way if there is enough space after the crowding has been relieved (assuming that is why you had them removed).

  • @mjj1434 Sorry to make you worry, implants are usually successful in a large amount of patients. To prevent an infection you need to make sure you rinse with warm salt water after every meal and before bed and keep the implant site clean. I got an infection simply because my body rejected the implant and it formed underneath the gum. Although implants are sturdy and much like a real tooth you should avoid any foods that create too much pressure. I,e Toffee, biting into apples etc. :)

  • @Chocsii - thanks for the information. I am getting a third opinion - the past 2 dentists I have seen have each said it is a different tooth that needs root canal or reverse root canal. Am seeing 3rd dentist - endodontist on Mon.. Am worried after reading about your experiece - I hope I can keep my original tooth. Oh, what do you do to prevent the infection after an implant, and do you have to watch what you eat after they are implanted with a crown? Thanks for any info you can give me.
