I was with HHC for this deployment, however i did volunteer for a couple of months down at Warhorse with 3rd PLT. I remember my last patrol, the LT and i were hit by a VBIED....turned the brand new humvee black. fun times......do you know if Ondo got his Purple Heart for that?

I remember that. Ondo had gauze and tape covering the burns on his face for weeks.
I'm not sure what happened with his Purple Heart. Him, and I think two others, were still waiting for theirs when we got back to Fort Benning. I'll ask the C.O.

We replaced the 141st EN (NDARNG) in OIF3. 14th EN (Ft.Lewis) and A/164EN (NDARNG) replaced us for OIF4.
