Yep. He often used the #364 and #365 model Marine Bands, the only low C harps available in those days. For some reason they were badged as the "Echo Vamper" in Europe, despite the fact that they were not double reed echo-type harmonicas. You can see that name on the harp on some of the closeups in videos from his appearances over there.
oh yes.certainly remember the Hohner super vamper from my stints in a 'blues group' at Uni early/mid sixties.
Great track....just think to be able to bend those notes like these greats!!.
