WTF people? I come on here to check out the vids for a show I was at.....that kicked some serious ass......and then have to read these comments? Why can't we like what we like? @HoboJones10 well i mean everyone has their opinions, and millions of fans and thousands of professional level musicians, including some of the best in the world behind the set, disagree with your sediments about Portnoy.

I agree. Other drummers, like Gavin Harrison in Porcupine Tree, play to compliment the song as well as possible, not just thrash around like the egotrips Portnoy tend to have. Harrison also has mad technical skills, but use them in a better fashion, imo.

Portnoys not that great, sorry. All he does is drum rolls fast as he can and that really cuts the soul of the music out from under his set. With that being said, he is still the best player in this group. No offense to anybody. I just don't care for his playing.

I dont really understand where this style stands. What would people call it with that stoner riffing but Yngwie soloing? Its a mix to me. Sound OK though.
