that's a fast boat

not sure whether this inspired mum or not. i think she'd still rather do the locks than attempt to drive/steer!! that job might fall to step dad again, as with Caen Hill which we did last year! After that, mum vowed never to do another flight like that again.......

Great video
We managed the Tardebigge Flight in 2 hours 50 minutes. We were going down, so a bit easier on the legs.

Excellent use of time-lapse photography. Awesome music.

A great clip - will be in training now for our holiday on the Stourport Ring in May 2008!

Thanks for this guys.
We have booked Stourport Ring for April. Just shown Jo the clip. It's a good insentive to learn how to steer and contol a narrowboat so that i do the locks.

Indeed. If you look closely you'll see the boat hitting the sides of the lock on the way in, several times up the flight. Its only a frame or two of video, but translates to an embarassing bang when you're actually steering.
Note also the swan near miss at 1:24!

What is the music?

It is 'The Boatman' by The Levellers.
Glad you liked the video. I used the FrameThief programme.
