Lord! What's the rush!!! The conductor is the devil. This thing has to be under the singer and so much slower. Lensky is gonna die in a second! Give him some space! Watch Vladimir Antlantov doing this you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm currently studying opera and I'm an aspiring lyric tenor and Gedda is my greatest source of inspiration, definitely my favorite tenor voice. He's what I would call a freak of nature, in a positive way. For instance, his ability to sing the high B in Don Jose's aria from Carmen on a pianissimo...that's just absurd and brilliant. My question for you would be what would Gedda attribute his incredible longevity to? His voice never seemed to lose it's vigor.

These Concert took place in Monte Carlo, 1984. The Conductor was Marc Soustrot. Gedda was there during the second part of the recording sessions for Aubers "Fra Diavolo" also with Soustrot. More about Gedda? Don´t hesitate to contact me! I´ve written a whole biography about the great swedish tenor.
