The first-ever meeting of THE COUNCIL OF DADS, the group of six men bestselling author Bruce Feiler asked to help father his potentially fatherless daughters. Hear each dad talk about the life lesson they would teach the girls -- how to travel, how to live, how to question, how to dream

A behind the scenes look at the photo shoot for bestselling author Bruce Feiler's upcoming feature in USA Weekend, promoting The Council of Dads: My Daughters, My Illness, and the Men Who Could Be Me. http://www.councilofdads.com

  • First, get well, you can do it!

What a gorgeous idea and no only when you are sick. I am going to do something similar for my almost 6 adopted children. As a single parent your concept is so great, but like I said get better. Along with traditional medicine avail yourself of holistic medicine it will help you with energy and strength. i wish you health and a long happy life

  • so instead of one wussy liberal dad we have 6 raising the girls. bet they turn out butch

  • This is an awesome idea, borne of love and devotion of a wonderful dad for his little girls. Men everywhere can learn lessons from this man's big heart.

  • omg this is so sweet bt so sad too

  • Our friends were young, just had their 2nd child and remodeled a home to perfection, but a heart condition that was not thought of as life threatning, took this young Dad's life in the night, leaving behind a beautiful wife, inside & out, having to manage a new born (6 months) and a vivacious 6 yr old daughter...don't wait to get the news to start this profound interaction with your core council of Dads. How I wish our friend had established his Council Of Dad's for such a time as this.

  • Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me forever.

You will find that if you really try to be a father, your child will meet you halfway.

  • Such a caring father, wish there was more like them in our world today.
