First, thank you for the interest. Second, you are right in some sense, but, from my point of view, there are 2 aspects. Israel almost has no advanced professional sports, besides basketball and soccer, probably. In contrary, mass amateur sports are highly developed, in spite of having little or no support from the state.

I never thought of that. I suppose Israel has no national sport.  It borrows its sports from other cultures and countries.
