This is a fascinating philosophy of sexuality, partly because, unlike most popular theories today, it does not ignore modern understandings of sexuality, and partly because it answers just about every objection that I (at least) can think of.

As a gay man it's flattering to think of homosexuality as an "advanced form" of gender, but I don't think there is any empirical evidence for this. Rather, it appears that homosexuality has always existed in nature, not as an end-prodct of evolution, but as a practical mechanism to safeguard the particular species from depletion of natural resources and to provide other services such as care for orphans.
