This is just a quick sample of me playing some of my favorite songs. Made some mistakes, also the sound quality is not the best. Dulcimer might be out of tune?? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • I am planning on buying a hammered dulcimer, but I don't really understand much about it. How many octaves do I need for most Rich Mullins songs??

  • @diamondinchrist I would suggest a 15/14 to play most all of his songs. That's what I have; it's also was what he had. Mine has three octaves of a D scale, but not three octaves of every scale.

    Thanks for asking.

    God Bless

  • Brilliant!

It is the first time I see someone else other than Rich Mullins playing on this instrument.

  • Thank you for the comment.

Well I actually learned 'Creed' from a guy named Nathan, who has some videos uploaded here. If you just search 'Rich Mullins dulcimer' or like 'Creed dulcimer' or whatever song it is that is played on hammered dulcimer you will find a few videos kinda like this.

Or even some videos teaching you the song. Look up 'Ted Yoder' or 'martinmooremusic' here on youtube.
