  • i just bought one ilove it.

  • made in China... because in the 1990s, the US had a chance to make these. GM crapped out and decided instead to put out the Hummer. Now they're going bankrupt. DUHHHH

I've been without a car for 2 years and now I'm buying one of these (other options, alcohol converter or veg oil).

I refuse to drive a car that uses gas! I will not fund your Wars for Oil with the car I drive.

  • Hi Bill - I am considering buying a zap truck - will you contact me - harry@everhart.com. I want to see if you still like it. Harry

  • Why don't they make it look futuristic? People care about looks. I bet you if this thing will look like a lamborgini people will buy it regardless of the mileage range. Zap, make one for the masses but make it look sporty. and affortable.

  • I am looking forward to a hub motor version of this, but this one is nice.

  • those are pretty nice, i sat in one. not much frills though, no power windows and you press a button to do reverse.

  • In reality that motor is 5 Kw or 6.7 hp with 6 batttery pack at 72 volts.

With those real speed is 38 - 40 mph.

It takes 8 battery pack or 96V to get 50 mph with a 13" bigger wheels for the record. Also it requires a higher capacity speed controller.

You're lucky if you get 30 mph range with those batteries with 1 charge.

  • Just so you know, when companies say 'Made in the USA' that means that all the parts are made in China and the car is assembled in the US. It's cheaper that way and new DOT/EPA requires state that part origins must be posted on window stckers, so you can go to your local America car dealer and read the window sticker and find that every car except for some electric cars are made overseas. GM's electric EV1 was the only GM post globalization vehicle actually built ground up in the US.

  • i saw on thie info that the truck can go up 2 50mph, i thought it just went up 2 40mph.

  • Two cents a mile! I'd rather pay Five cents a mile for more power - maybe that's available, too.
