The Marshall Tucker Band performing their hit song, 'Can't You See' live in a SOLD-OUT performance at the Uptown Theater in Napa, California on July 22, 2011.
This video features Chris Hicks (The Chris Hicks Band) filling-in for Stuart Swanlund on guitar and vocals. It also includes a special guest appearance by guitarist Jim Wagner of WCR Guitar Pickups (Soulsbyville, CA) who made the custom guitar pickups used by the band in this dynamite performance with fun, sing-along audience participation.
MTB band members also appearing are: Doug Gray (founding member) - vocals & tambourine; Marcus James Henderson -- flute, keyboard & vocals; Rick Willis -- guitar & vocals; Pat Elwood -- bass guitar & vocals; and B. B. Bordan -- drums.
'Can't You See' was written by the late Toy Caldwell (1947-1993) of the Marshall Tucker Band and first appeared on the band's debut album in 1973, The Marshall Tucker Band. In 1976 it peaked at #4 on the Top 100 Hot Country Chart and #75 on the Billboard Top 100.

Good vid, but I'd rather watch Toy from a dive bar in VT or NY. Keep posting if you have them!!

Any one know the picker in the western hat singin @ 4.50?
I saw these guys a little over a year ago and he freakin rips on that Gib. Some of the best sound I've EVER heard come from a 6 string. I like SR vaughn, CDB, the Dead, Allman, Skynyrd, Ricky skaggs, S Wariner. I'm sure this guy would have no problem pickin with that crowd.
Unfortunately Doug didn't seem to be into it that evening and the "Heard it in a love song" sounded like sh_t! After 40 years I guess I don't blame him.

WTF is he saying about Wisconsin? Cheese making what? Talkin' like he's got a mouth full of $hit. Can't understand him. Guarantee they played to more people at Summerfest in WI than that "SOLD OUT" room in wine country.

He can sing very low. But anything above that, he can't project his voice. It's so goddamn sad to me because this is the soundtrack of my youth....

Read up on Doug. He had surgery to make his voice stronger and it robbed him of the strength he so obviously had in the old days. I would sue the living SHIT out of the doctor that robbed you of that voice brother. Because it was a national treasure before it was stolen from us. Pisses me off the more I read about it....
