Talk about two programs that are just 20-25 miles apart going into two complete different directions from the 1989-'90 season.

Absolutely my friend!! I miss these great days of Pack basketball. Coach V always knew how to get the best recruits!! Del Negro's last year with Fire and Ice just getting started! That assist from Corchianni to Del Negro was amazing over Ferry!

Kansas played both these teams during that season. Kansas came from behind to beat North Carolina State in Reynolds Coliseum 74-67 in December. Kansas lost in Allen Fieldhouse to Duke in February 74-70 in overtime, but beat Duke in the Final Four in Kemper Arena 66-59. The Jayhawks would finish the season as national champions.
