Tilt-shift Time Lapse of Santa Monica Pier

DSLR for stills: Nikon D700
Lens: Nikkor AF 80-200 f/2.8D
Cable release: Nikon MC-36 Timer release, interval set to 1 second
Tripod: Manfrotto 190XB and RC322 pistol grip ball head
Exposure: MANUAL
Editing rig: Apple Mac Pro with 3.33gHz 6-core Xeon
Software for post-effects: Photoshop CS5 Standard
Software for video: Final Cut Express
I had fun with this project. Took about 7,000 still shots and about 2,000 of them was not used due to time limit. It took a long time to have every single still curve adjusted then batch lens blur to look tilt-shifted.
The first few scenes I was trying to get that old film look as you can see. So I played around with the contrast and curves to simulate uneven exposures.
To be honest it was totally unexpected how it turned out.
Anyway just a little weekend project I've been wanted to do for a while.

Hi I wanna do a time lapse at santa monica this weekend, from sunrise to sunset. I wonder if you could give me any tips. whats the time interval per shot? If i'm going to do an 24 hour time lapse will my battery died down way before it reach 24hour? thanks
