A personal tribute to those in the British military who have fallen victim to the troubles in Iraq & Afganistan. It's for the families, friends and relatives as a lasting memorial. Most of them very young. If you recognise anyone or are a relative, please leave a comment. It is not, in any way, a political statement so please don't leave comments which may reflect this. Thanks. Certain comments have been removed due to them becoming too personal and offensive to most.
Thank you all for your comments. This was my first You Tube video it was inspired by mausergirl's Please Remember Me about US soldiers. I looked for a British tribute but, at that time, none struck me - music wise?
This music tell's their story of life, family, fun and ultimately mourns their loss..The memory is all theirs loved ones have left to cherish, A lifepath has gone, never to be retraced - each one of their life paths is unique to each of them...and us.

  • I live in New Jersey and remember on 9/11 my father (US Navy Capt ret.) told me there would now be war. I remember in all the confusion wondering who was attacking us, and whether this was the beginning of WW3. I asked him if anyone would even help us - his answer: the Brits are still tough, they will stand by us. 10 years later - it isn't the war I'd imagined; and it has been a controversial road plagued by mistakes.. but he was right, for better or for worse the British stood by us. Thank you

  • @Repo287 What your Dad said was true and will always be that way. Us Brits will always support our allies come what may. The British Soldier is the best in the world. We fight with our great allies for democracy, freedom and liberty. Our two countries have and will continue to fight for the world against all those that try and destroy our democratic way of life. We are born free for it is our democratic right to be born free. Our brave men and women ensure that we do. I am a proud Britain

  • Please read my personal tribute to all the soldiers that have fought bravely and lost their lives, back then and now. I wrote this when I was 12 and studying history of war at school, and I was moved by the lack of respect in the classroom for all the people that have passed through war. Four years later, (a few months ago) I dug it up and re-wrote it. Please read it, I promise it is a valuable five minutes of your busy lives. Thankyou.

  • As a US Air Force Security Forces Sgt. I salute our great comrades and friends of the British armed forces. Their bravery and commitment to freedom is beyond admirable! They deserve the highest commendation for all they have given and sacrificed in the name of freedom and liberty. America will always be indebted to these brave men and women of the British Military! May our countries be blessed by Almighty God and may we always be friends and allies. God Bless you all! Peace to the fallen.
