BTW... Tip Pooling is Optional/ Voluntary, and only done by the employees. The employer cannot force you to "tip-pool" (IT IS ILLEGAL). If they did/ do, get lawyer and sue them to hell and back. And make sure you sue them for every penny they have. :)

hey upid if it is a buffet, and yes i meant to say upid. You can eat for as long as you are alive, or til you want to leave, some resturaunts may say no loitering whatever you cant sit at the table and talk but as long as your eating, slo or fast, you can live at that resturant..... not 3 hours like you said but anyways im talking about buffets

@Schubes17 But Schubes17, leaving no tips for waiters is a hobby of mine. On weekends, I enjoy searching for impoverished waiters and leaving them a tip of zero. It makes me happy inside. If you were my waiter, I would sneakily trip you so you drop my drinks, watch you clean it up and tip you zero.

Just joking, I would sell all my possessions and donate the proceeds to the Schubes17 Tip Fund for College/Alcohol.

@ReverseVortex Read 1st before this...... If servers have a good night with good tippers and no problems from the kitchen. We can easily make 10 - 20 dollars an hour. But I've had countless nights where I did everything humanly possible to make the customers dining experience the best it could be. He sat at my table for 2 1/2 hours, racked up over $100 in mainly drinks (which means more running around for me) and tipped me 2 dollars. I didn't do anything wrong. People like you/him suck dick

@ReverseVortex Have you ever dealt with someone like you, If I knew who you were, and you came to where I worked, I'd spit in your food. People like you make the job shitty, we aren't begging. You go out to eat because you don't want to cook or clean up after yourself. Thats our job. We get to put a smile on no matter how shitty the day is and act like we really care that your kids can walk or say something. All I'm saying is that, 15% is what we aim for 20% is good. read next comment/reply

THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!! I work at a sports bar where its pretty laid back and the food isn't extremely hard to make. The thing is, I'm not a 4 or 5 star waiter, I work at a bar. If you expect their to be 20 waiters/waitresses your high, We usually have 3, 7 on Friday and Saturday, this means I am responsible for about 10 - 30 tables depending on my section. Oh, did I mention we don't have busters, we do that ourselves. oh and we don't have hosts so I could get sat 4 times at one time.. Tip better

Oh my goodness, tipping! Yes please! I'm a busgirl and I get drinks, take drinks, check for people needing anything else (to avoid kitchen running for the waiter), take dishes, run the checks through, get dessert orders, whatever. All my waitstaff does is get food from the kitchen and take orders. I can work for 3 hours and barely get a dollar for all the work from my waitstaff. (My boss says it's supposed to be ten cents on the dollar but it never is.) Waiters, please be nice to your bussers!

@axdxaxm First of all. Did you not read my comment? I AM SPOILED!

Second of all, "Usually when I am with my friends..." This statement means that it's more than just me and two others. Me and my friends go to restaurants that aren't exactly cheap.

Third of all, my mum used to work as at a hotel... so I know how it feels to not get any tips, when you're being paid minimum wage - you rely on tips.

And lastly I don't care if you believe me or not. Besides you don't know me at all.
