@TheMartianOddity You are right, it IS creepy. Cain succeeded because, well, he was a madman drug addict. Perfect for putting in a heavily-armed robot suit. No Frankenstein-like complex. So the movie had its moments.

@Kj16V The 2nd robot(pulls helmet off) kind of freaked me out too, and I was older. It only realized the 2nd viewing why the prototypes failed. The human hosts realized they were abominations, freaked out & killed themselves. And that's why the lead scientist wanted the drug addict bad guy in the prototype suit. Because he'd pull off, provided you give him nuke in his receptacle. Good writing.

The skull reveal used to make my brother and I laugh so hard as kids (we were around 7 and 5 when we first saw this film) that we'd rewind it over and over.
