Well, the Indonesians might think we have strange eating habits. We really cannot bash them for what they eat.

I'm serving most of these buffet-style at my wedding.

No, I don't think so. Fertile land for growing food, no need for heating a house (warm all year round). It was definitely the culture there.

well to us Americans we find this a bit overwhelming, but the one thing I must say about other cultures...they do not waste any part of their meat products. The animal is NOT killed in vain. I could never see myself eating cat or dog by choice, that's just my opinion. But I cannot condemn other cultures of what they eat, although it's sad to see.

I agree that they don't waste a thing and was happy to note that villages all shared in the slaughter.

I appreciate your comment. But things like dogs and cats are part of the food chain. Only certain humans (in the west mainly) have attributed to them a bigger status to other animals. But the truth remains these are still part of the food chain.
In this respect its not sad at all.

how disrespectful for that girl to be saying eww to these people's food, this is how they survive

Of course this is how they survive and I love pork! It just smelled pretty bad in the intense head, and I'm not thrilled watching the actual butchering. Sorry, I like my food already wrapped in Saran Wrap.
