  • @dcukic An homogeneous stratified charge engine has up to a 15% efficiency increase compared to a direct injection engine. So expect 45MPG econoboxes in a few years.

  • @TheFelixWankel there is a spark plug...under heavy engine loads it switched over to normal operation for higher hp. but once under partial loads it switches over to CI. maybe do some research before hatin on the guy...

  • @Soprano313 that is very true, i think more should change =\

  • they sud've used the teminator theme song instead....would've been far more dramatic and impactful!

  • The music... Something from MGS, right?

  • and what do you get by doing this? is it more fuel efficient? does it have more power then normal engine?

  • @TheFelixWankel Apparently not, and i'm sure i'm not the only one that sees GM's lack of innovation.

  • @TheFelixWankel You are soooo wrong it is not funny!!! There is no spark plug in the video. Seriously are you a retard, go back to energy and the enviroment class and learn what HCCI is all about. Kindest Regards G-UNIT!!!!!!!!! YEAH GET SOMEE

  • this is lame what makes this so special?

  • @SebasSBM thats not entirely true. HCCI works by the fuel combusting at exactly the same moment. This is impossible with a typical gas motor because the spark takes time to light the gas mix, then the flam takes time to spread (no matter how small a time that is) HCCI works by compressing the mixture to a precise point where it gets so hot that the entire mix combusts instantaneously. Its almost like making a diesel engine run on gas. Thats honestly easier to compare this motor to than gas.
