I would think that someone like KRS-One would be a little bit more conscious than this. But, I won't criticize him because I myself was once infatuated with the idea that Obama's presidency all of a sudden means racism is gone. But we have to look at it realistically...Obama had to downplay his blackness and in a way reject that to make white voters feel coomfortable. He couldn't bring up any issues about the struggles in black America because he'd be accused of "playing the race card".
@WesSeid also i see what you tryed to do u decided to cut off half of my quote to make it seem as if i hated white ppl. The REAL quote is "yea i did vote for him cause hes black because it is a big deal for me no matter the politcal alignment"
@pmac3421 Your full quote makes no difference. You voted for Obama at least partially because of his race. It doesn't matter what color he is or what color you are. I didn't say you hated white people. I said, and you said, you voted for Obama because of the color of his skin.
Your full quote just makes it worse. You not only voted for him because he's black, but you also don't even care what his political alignment is. And you say that's not racist? Please.
But, I'm not trying to dog you too much on it. Really. You are conscious of having voted that way and for that reason, and that's more than most people do. The next thing is to look past the color of a person's skin regardless of what race they are.
Some people and politicians say they are against racism, yet all they do is find ways to put people into groups based on their skin color instead of looking at them as individuals. All people should be treated the same, regardless of color.
@WesSeid anyways im sick of arguing over youtube. so im just gonna say that that is what I believe and you can believe whatever u want. that is wats great about america
@WesSeid how is that racist? being racist would be not voting for him because he is black. how the hell is wanting to see a black person be president racist? It is not like I voted for Obama because McCain was white. I have no hatred for any races and that is what makes a racist.
@pmac3421 So only white people can be racist? lol, what?
Did you or did you not say you voted for Obama because he's black? You did say that. You chose someone at least partly because of the color of their skin. And you think that's not racism? Let's ask Webster's...
"Discrimination or prejudice based on race."
Now let's look up discrimination. "treat differently on the basis of sex or race"
You treated Obama different because he's black. Hence, discrimination. Hence, racism.
@WesSeid i never said only white ppl can be racist. I dont care what websters says because in my book i believe that racism is a hatred of a race. There sure as hell is black ppl who hate white ppl and that IS racist. I voted for Obama because of what KRS-One said....it lets black people know that they can really be somebody important and succesfull without being in show business(music, acting, t.v., etc.)
Yeah, Obama's election shows black people that they too can be puppets for the bankers/Federal Reserve/NWO. Dare to dream.
If the KKK only votes for white people, most people would probably think they are racist for doing so. You gave someone preferential treatment because of the color of their skin, and it is no different.
Obama is basically Bush v3 with his policies. Patriot Act, Cap and Trade, Fed Chairman, wars, etc. Anyone who currently likes Obama must also like Bush2.
@LocoRico89 It was amusing watching Oprah go all nuts saying how black people can finally see they can be someone in America or whatever. Meanwhile, she's one of the most famous and adored people on the planet, has been for years and years, and could buy the entire United States if she wanted. But apparently that's not considered successful or anything.
