The comments on here are pathetic. "GOD SAVED HIM DERP DERP DERP" ...Yeah ok...people get rehabilitated from drug use all of the time (including myself), and I dont see where "god" comes into play. Oh yeah, I get it. The diety that has 0 imperical evidence, can not be seen or touched, a fairy tale dictator is what helped josh hamilton get sober...yeah ok..

I don't he was ever this wholesome young kid he portrayed himself to be before the drugs. That was just for the book. It's not like a normal kid regularly hangs out at a tattoo parlor getting tattooed. He makes it sound like it was some benign thing hanging out with the crowd he did at a tattoo parlor.

Indeed he was rescued by Jesus. He made all the wrong choices to use drugs and alcohol. But he also made the right choices to get clean and put his life back on the right track by putting God first.
