@snailman44 true 27,000 dollors cant make up for your life to your family if you happen to get killed..not to mention after the season is over most come home with broken fingers frost bite crab hands an bad backs..then when the boat comes in and after they off load they go to the bar drink like a fish

I agree. It's a similar sentiment I felt the other night when I was watching Ice Road Truckers....like, "why the hell am I watching this?! There's no real story!"
But when you think about it, it's the first-person view into a fantastical reality we'll all likely never see otherwise, and we're drawn to it.

I love to watch this show but #@ck me this job is nuts. Everything about it goes against human nature. They work 25 hour shifts several of them in a row with 0 sleep no food in there system then u see guys make mistakes and drown. No amount of money would get me out there period. Cant put a price on your life.
