What is Antioch Australia?
Antioch is a youth based movement, formed in Australia in 1981 when the Pirola family brought it over from the USA. Since then, many communities have been formed around Australia, and we have helped outreach to countries like Hungary, Philippines, and New Zealand.
It is a place where young Christians in todays society can come together and talk about issues that matter to us, and talk about our faith in a loving and caring environment. There is also the chance to make lasting friendships.
What is an Antioch Weekend?
An Antioch Weekend is run by the youth, for the youth, aimed at people aged 16-23. There are many talks written by the team about issues that matter to us and how we can deal with them in our lives. We have smaller, share groups where we can discuss issues raised in the talks and get feedback from our peers.
There are games, plenty of food, we make posters and put on skits. We have plenty of music and songs to get you up and dancing. It is a chance to explore your own faith and help develop a stronger relationship with God without being criticised for your beliefs
