@DisTRAINbound4GLORY UNAC-5 was a convention that combined all of the major auxiliaries of the church into one "United" Convention, hence the name...United National Auxiliaries Convention...It was a convention run by the Church of God In Christ...Today the Auxiliaries In Ministry Convention takes its place.

@DisTRAINbound4GLORY It is associated with COGIC, but it was an attempt to consolate various talents and organizations within and without COGIC. Personalities and celebrities with roots in the Church of God in Christ like Edwin Hawkins, Andrae Crouch or Carlton Pearson often participated. It developed during the tenure of Presiding Bishop J.O. Patterson Sr. as an attempt to be more ecumenical in outreach. It later evolved into A.I.M. (Auxillaries In Ministry) which was even more successful.

@DisTRAINbound4GLORY The United National Auxillary Convention. At the time it was the who's who of musicians at the time participated. It was the largest COGIC choir sang at the time.

I am having a praise party all by myself. I thank God for people who post anointed music like this. I have been looking for these songs by UNAC 5 for a long time. I had the album back in the 80s. Thank you again for posting these songs.

can some1 educate me, the UNAC was before my time.. what does the acronym stand for? & Was it a convention associated with the COGIC?

I think it means United National Auxiliaries Convention, or something like that. The current name is AIM - Auxiliaries in Ministry this is information from another source may not be totally accurate. there will be I'm sure someone that will correct it if not so.
