Around 3PM Riverview Fire Department responded to a Explosion at a Day care on the Hillsboro Road. Flames were seen shooting out and people running out of the daycare. A few ambulances responded to the call and Codiac RCMP. Codiac Transit sent over a bus for the children , but they were a couple buildings over in a Church basement and parents were arriving to pick of there kids. It was reported on the radio that none of the kids were injured , and there could be a couple of adults with burns. At 3:22PM a 2nd alarm for assistance from the Moncton Fire Department , a tanker was needed but by the time it arrived Riverview Fire had the fire out. All the windows in the building appeared to be blown out. Fire Department are still on scene at this time and traffic is backed up across the Gunningsville Bridge coming from Moncton , rush hour 4:40PM. Propane is thought to be the cause, 24 children and 2 workers were inside Global News reported tonight.

which would server no purpose in a Daycare and runs on a 9volt.

My sister in law is an employee there and is currently in ICU. We are all praying for her. She is glad that all the children got out safe, and thanks everybody for their support.

this brought a tear to my eye. Definitly thinking of all the members of Country Kids and Im sure all the staff and students are definitly going to need the communities support.

I heard that the two staff that were taken to the hospital, that one was ok and doing fine, but the other was burned badly as her entire body was on fire. This is a sin. I also learned this daycare just had completed many major renovations too. So good to know the children were not injured. Time will tell the real damage on the children who experienced this tragic experience. I'm sure some will have nightmares and others will need some serious counselling.
