Couldnt you tighten the sheath for better rentention so that it could be used as a neck blade?
-
@edgedweapon88 I wouldn't be surprised, looks perfect for preparing veg and fillet. Wouldn't use it on bony meat and fish but who uses expensive knives for those anyway?
-
@urkingod With the sheath supplied from Spyderco I would not recommend this as a neck knife. The sheaths retention is not at good as that of the Izula. This is a great knife for vertical or horizontal belt carry IMO. Thanks for watching.

Yeah, I was looking at this knife on 2011 Spyderco catalogue thinking if anyone else had a review on Youtube. Glad I found it. I love my Izula for a neck knife, however, not sure how this thing would wear ?

This is an impressive review.
That is a substantial sized blade for urban carry, but still reasonable. It could flex into role of a compact outdoor knife.
The G-clip on the sheath enables IWB carry, right?

@classof77 yes you can carry iwb. Thank you for the kind words.

Is the tip fairly strong, or is it a typical Spyderco tip that is sharp like a tack but brittle?

@lafleurj9 The tip is thick and strong. I have not had any issues with it.
