@chronic42070 That's funny, grunge to me was a mixture of punk, 70s classic rock, and, yes, METAL. Just because the grunge bands (Skin Yard, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Gruntruck, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, etc.) often wore flannel instead of silver studs doesn't diminish their metal influences. Many of them had the hair for it, too, at least in terms of thrash (natural) instead of glam (hairspray) metal.
