Super-Concert to help people of Bangladesh, suffering genocide & oppression by the Pakistan Army

In response to the heartlessness displayed by the Pakistan Army towards the citizens of occupied Bangladesh following the apocalyptic Cyclone Bhola that struck Bangladesh & the subsequent unmitigated barbarism & genocide unleashed by the Pakistan Army upon the citizens of Bangladesh, Pandit Ravi Shankar convinced ex-Beatles George Harrison to extend his efforts towards helping the oppressed & suffering Bangladeshis.

Thus, what, followed was one of the biggest ever musical concert of all times, the precursor to all subsequent charity concerts organized. It involved some of the biggest names & musical legends like Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Pandit Ravi Shankar, Alla Rakha, Ali Akbar Khan, Billy Preston, Klaus Voormann, Jim Keltner, Badfinger, Carl Radle, Jesse Ed Davis, Jim Horn. Don Preston, Don Nix, besides George Harrison himself.

The proceeds from the concert [~$0.25 Million USD in 1971] were given to UNICEF for their Bangladesh efforts
