There is NO specific meaning for the word emo anymore. It has been used to describe depression, fashion and music. It has been used as an insult to some, but some people are self proclaimed "Emos"

The term "emo" was an insult given to the kids in the late 80's who listened to Emotive hardcore. Which is a genre of music.. which is NOT what this band is.

My dad played this when I was really little, along with a lot of other artists, and it was just how I grew up hehe :P
