Jennifer: (sitting at the table pushing her lunch around with her fork)
Jacob: Whats wrong, wheres Brandon?
Jennifer: (still looking at her food) Hes practicing for the game
Michelle: Awe you miss him how cute
Jennifer: (rolls her eyes) Hes not the only think on my mindI dont like him that way
Jacob: Whats bugging you then
Jennifer: (Sighs, looks up) Me and Shane got in a little fight yesterdayI havent seen him all dayI think hes mad at me (looks back to her food)
Jacob: Jen(Sees someone coming towards) I wouldnt be so sure about him being mad
Jennifer: (looks up) and how would you know
Jacob: (Smirks) I have my ways
Jennifer; (about to say something when someone sits next to her)
Shane: (sits next to her) Hey
Jennifer: (looks over) Why arent you sitting with your precious Victoria (Thinks: Okay I know its stupid of me to talk like that when I hate our fights, I hate when we dont talk, but I dontIm tired of being second bestand Im a little disappointed he isnt the one Im going to prom with part of me wanted to take it backbut it was too late)
Shane: (disappointment on his face, shrugs looks down) I dont knowwe got in a fight yesterday

WITH VICTORIA
Victoria: (pulls away breathing deeply) Youre such a bad boycheatingtisk tisk tisk
Brandon: (Smirks) Well we arent official yetshe wants to go as just friends
Victoria: (rolls her eyes) What a loser
Brandon: (Smirks a little kissing her again, slowly moves his hand up her shirt)
Victoria: (Pulls away) Not at school you idiot

With Shane, Jen, Jake and Michelle
Jennifer: (bits her lip Thinks: Great now I really shouldnt have said that) Shane
Shane: (Looks up) Huh?
Jennifer: Our spot hasnt seen us in a while
Shane: (Sighs) Yeah (stands up)
Jennifer: (looks to Jake and Michelle) later (stands up)
Jennifer: and Shane walk to the music room, then climb to the roof, the sit leaning against the school mascot that is on top of the roof, it blocks everyone at schools view of them, this has always been their secret spot no one knows about it
Jennifer: (looks over to Shane whos looking forward saying nothing, trying to break the silence) So what happened
Shane: (Shrugs still looking forwards)
Jennifer: (Sighs and leans her head against his shoulder) Come on Shane you can tell me anything rememberbest friends till the end of time
Shane: (He smiles a little feeling her head lean against him) It happened after you walked off yesterdayShe got mad cause I didnt want you to go. She called you- (cuts off not wanting to say her exact words) a loser and a geek and I got mad at her. Then she got mad at me and left, she acted all happy this morning but then she remembered our fight or something and just walked off not even looking back at me when I called her
Jennifer: Im sorry Shane(realizes something lifts her head from his shoulder) you stood up for me to her (smiles a little)
Shane: (Looks over at her) Of course I did, youre my best friend
Jennifer: (Still looking at him) Im sorry Im not the nicest person when it comes to Victoria, I know she means a lot to youand Im sorry for being the reason of your guys fight
Shane: Its not your fault Jenners
Jennifer: Im still sorry (leans her head on his shoulder again) Youre my best friend, and when you feel badI feel bad
Shane: (Smiles) Well thanks, I feel a lot better now
Jennifer: (Smiles) Why does high school have to be so complicated?
Shane: (chuckles) I dont know
BELL RINGS
Shane: (sighs) Time for class
Jennifer: (Sighs stands up) yeahgood old class
Shane: (laughs)
(They get down and are walking and talking together as they walk Brandon comes up beside Jen)
Brandon: (Holds up the tickets) Look what I got (Smiles)
Jennifer: (smiles) Awesome! You wont lose them right (laughs a little)
Brandon: What you dont trust me? (laughs)
Jennifer: Well guys and losing stuff is pretty common
Shane: (not really paying attention) What are they anyway
Jennifer: Tickets to prom
Shane: (shocked) What!?
Jennifer: (slightly confused) Im going to prom with Brandon
Shane: When did this happen
Jennifer: (about to answer when they get to Brandon and Jennifers class) Ill talk to you later at my lesson
Brandon: (Smirks putting his arm around Jennifer)
Shane: (turns around mad and shocked before seeing Jennifer move Brandons hand off)
Shane POV
I started walking toward my car, too upset to go to class. She was going to prom with him? Yesterday we were fighting about her goingshe wanted nothing to do with it and now shes going! I know I should be happy that Ill see her there butwith him? That guy just pisses me off. Jen deserves so much better than him. Getting to my car I drove off campus
