@disciple90633 LSU had to wear purple at home from 1983 through 1994 due to an NCAA rule which stated the visiting team must wear white.The rule was modified in 1995, but the visitng team had to give permission. The SEC went a step further and stated the home team would have its choice WITHOUT permission of the vistiors. The ACC does not have that rule, so Georgia Tech occasionally must wear gold or navy at home. Under Saban and Miles, LSU has worn purple at home twice a year.
