Point Pleasant, WV sits on the confluence of the Kanawha and Ohio rivers. This small community has been connected to the river since it was first settled by Europeans in the 1700's. After years of planning and fund raising the town finally opened a state of the art river front park and amphitheater.

  • It is where the first battle of the American Revolution was fought. Called Lord Dunmores War. This Englishman incited the Shawnee to attack the Virginians. Some of my Patriots fought at this battle.
