your not supposed to hvae your knee go past your toes man theyre supposed to stay alligned with your ankle.

I found Bulgarian Split Squats really hard on my knees if I didn't keep my front leg way out in front, but looking at your vid I think I was doing tham wrong by not "sitting back" into the squat. Thanks for this.

Mad Props. alot of weight man. a few questions though how much you weigh?
any special reason u dont stretch your leg out farther? or do you get more glute activation with the lead leg closer to the becnh?

I weighed about 160 at the time of the video.
I've done them both ways, and I feel more comfortable with the leg at that distance. If you notice in the video, even though it looks like I break at the knee first, I'm really trying to bring my hips back towards the bench. You can get good glute/ham activation no matter where your feet are, as long as you focus on initiating the movement with the hips.
