Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province and the gateway to China's western frontier: Tibet and the Silk Road, is the fourth largest city in China, with a population of 11 million. With a history encompassing four millennia, Chungdu was one of the first centers of printing in China and has been famous for its luxurious satins, brocades, and lacquer ware since the 13th century. Unlike Shanghai, Dalian and Shenzhen whose new construction have replaced most of the cities historical buildings, Chengdu offers a pleasant mixture of old and new - a city proud of its heritage but one slowly embracing the new.
Hey China - peace go on, live long time, see you forever in a better place
