Watching this video has made my decision for me after stewing over the traditional tubal or this. I don't make decisions well. I also watched the tubal filshie procedure and after watching both I felt so much more at ease with Adiana. This video was excellent in the fact that it shows the other equipment it uses and guides the dr. I was having problems picturing the whole concept and how they knew where to put the little grain etc. Guess that's why they're the dr & not me. Sched. for 9-8-11

My doc has prescribed me oxycodone for this procedure...which seems pretty hardcore and I really don't want to take it. What's up with THAT?

Hi,
I agree that in our institution we do not use that type of medication since it usually is not necessary when applying the vaginoscopic technique. Having said that, it does depend on various factors, eg. whether or not you have delivered vaginally or not. Apparently this is part of the protocol your ob/gyn uses as a standard and he/she feels comfortable using, suddenly changing that is perhaps not a good idea either. Incidental use is OK. Perhaps you could discuss your concerns. Good luck!
